Working Land refers to two facets of rural landscape: the idea of working the land as a vocation and as a description of productive ground. My family tree includes immigrant ancestors who made a living from working the soil and some of their descendants who carry on this work to the present day. That personal connection to working land inspired the project.
minnows
Rocky's Bait, June 4, 2015: Kathy scooped up a net full of fathead minnows from one of the many storage tanks housed in two large metal buildings. Aerators generate froth as they spin, dissolving sufficient oxygen in the water for keeping the minnows alive. I was impressed with their facility; they run a tight ship, and the Norgren family clearly takes a lot of pride in their work.
